More about Omega 2637-5 SC Seamaster Bumper Automatic TURLER SIGNED

This is a vintage 1950 stainless steel Omega Seamaster 2637-5 SC. It has a leather strap with an Omega stainless steel tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. There is a screw-down solid case back, inside of which is the Omega hallmark and "ACIER STAYBRITE," and the reference number "2637-5." The 35mm diameter solid two-body case, lapidated downturned lugs, and flat bezel are polished. The original dial is silver with applied faceted "boat" baton hour markers around a dot minute/seconds track. It has steel Dauphine hands, and a center sweep seconds hand. The rare dial is double signed with the retailer "Turler." The 10.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Omega Seamaster 2637-5 SC has a mechanical automatic self-winding Omega caliber 354 bumper movement. It's copper-colored, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, a swan-neck regulator, and a bumper rotor.
