More about Vintage GMT Master Gilt Gloss Faded Bezel

This is a vintage 1962/1963 Rolex GMT Master 1675. It has an integral stainless steel jubilee bracelet, a double deployment clasp, and an acrylic crystal. It has a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, and there is a solid screw-down case back and protected winding crown. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs with chamfers, fat bezel with knurled rim, and bracelet are polished/brushed. It has the original gilt black dial and chapter ring, luminous dot, baton and triangle hour markers, and luminous Mercedes hands. There is a central red hand with a luminous arrow tip for the second time zone, and there is a gilt sweep center seconds hand. The bi-directional rotating 24-hour blue and red "Pepsi" bezel insert is very clean and perfectly faded. It's a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC), and the 12.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1575 movement is rhodium-plated, with a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 27 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a free-sprung monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws.
