More about Jaeger LeCoultre 194.T4.70 AMVOX7 Chronograph Aston Martin

This is a titanium Jaeger LeCoultre AMVOX7 Chronograph 194.T4.70. It has an interchangeable alligator strap with a titanium deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The chronograph can be started, stopped, and reset by pressing on the crystal and the pads that are on the case back at the 6 and 12 o'clock positions. A press at 12 o’clock starts or stops the chronograph mechanism, while pressing at 6 o'clock resets the chronograph hand to zero. A trigger on the left side of the case can be moved to a locked position, preventing the use of the chronograph, and there are "lock" and "unlock" labels on the dial. There is a solid case back secured with 8 screws, and it's engraved with "SPECIAL EDITION – JAEGER-LECOULTRE," and in the center is "ASTON MARTIN," with the company's wings emblem. The 44mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned faceted lugs, and thin rounded bezel are polished/brushed. It has a black open worked skeletonized dial with an Aston Martin radiator grille pattern, rhodium-plated hands with SuperLuminova inserts, and a red lacquered chronograph sweep seconds hand. There are alternating luminous Arabic numeral hour markers at 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12 o'clock, and luminous index hour markers. There is an outer minute/seconds scale with Arabic numerals every 5 minutes, and around the perimeter is a radial 65-hour power reserve display exhibited in two apertures in the upper part of the inner bezel ring. There are two red rectangles; when the watch is wound, these strips advance towards one another and meet at the 12 o'clock numeral when fully wound. As the barrel winds down, they move apart. There is a date aperture window at 6 o'clock, and there are two anthracite grey subsidiary dials, including a 12-hour register between 8 and 10 o'clock, and a 30-minute totalizer is between 2 and 4 o'clock, both with red lacquered indicator triangles. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and the 15.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Jaeger LeCoultre AMVOX7 Chronograph 194.T4.70 has a mechanical automatic self-winding JLC Caliber 756 movement. It's rhodium plated, and it's constructed with 39 jewels, 335 components, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber device. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).

The Jaeger LeCoultre AMVOX7 Chronograph 194.T4.70 motif references the Aston Martin Vanquish. The watch was introduced in 2013, the 8th anniversary of the partnership between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin.
