More about Jaeger LeCoultre 606352J Duometre Unique Travel Time 18K White Gold

This is an 18K white gold Jaeger LeCoultre Duometre Unique Travel Time, 606352J. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18K white gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has an exhibition sapphire display case back, with 24 cities/time zones engraved around the beveled circumference. The 42mm diameter solid three-body case, angled bezel, and downturned lugs are polished/brushed. The off-center time dial is silver-grained, with applied polished black nickel Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, and black feuille indicator hands. Rectangular pushbuttons are on the left-side case band. There is an off-center jump hour aperture and minute subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock that displays the second time zone, and the three-dimensional world map at the 6 o'clock position has a day/night indicator ring that shows the planet time zones. There are "dual wing" 50-hour power reserve indicator arcs bracing the world map dial, registering both the main and secondary times. There is a center sweep seconds hand with an arrow-tipped pointer. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and the 13.7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The mechanical manual winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 383 movement is constructed with 54 jewels, 498 components, two barrels, and the rotor oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

This is the first watch to combine user-friendly adjustment of the world's time zones with flexible but precise setting of the destination zone to the nearest minute. The "Dual Wing" mechanisms avoid any loss of precision.
