More about Jaeger LeCoultre Q193J45J AMVOX3 Tourbillon GMT Aston Martin Ceramic LIMITED

This is a black ceramic Jaeger LeCoultre AMVOX3 Tourbillon GMT Q193J45J. It has a composite rubber strap with a ceramic and stainless steel deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a screw down winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws; it's engraved around the perimeter with "JAEGER-LECOULTRE – SWISS MADE – 5 ATM – 193.J.78.S – LIMITED EDITION," a serial number, an edition number, a 1000-hour JLC test hallmark, and the Aston Martin wings emblem. The 44mm diameter solid three-body case, straight faceted lugs, and rounded bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is skeletonized with an outer white "tennis racket" grill, applied luminous Arabic numeral hour markers with black rims around a minute/one-fifth second scale with orange hour markers. Around the perimeter is a radial date dial with a center sweep indicator hand with an arrow tip, and there are steel baton hands with luminous inserts; the date can be moved forward or backwards, and the date hand jumps from the 31st to the 1st of the month, completely skipping over the tourbillon window, in order to not obstruct the view of the tourbillon. The 1-minute tourbillon is located at the 6 o'clock position, with a brushed rose gold/orange bridge; a double-sided polished steel hand with a luminous insert is mounted on the center of the tourbillon which doubles as the seconds counter. There is an orange AM/PM aperture window at 12 o'clock, and the GMT/ dual time zone is indicated by the additional center polished luminous steel skeleton hour hand. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and it has a 48-hour power reserve at full wind. The15.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Jaeger LeCoultre AMVOX3 Tourbillon GMT Q193J45J has a mechanical automatic self-winding JLC Caliber 988 movement. It's rodium plated with fausses cotes and cotes de Geneve embellishment. It's constructed with 35 jewels, 313 components, and a shock absorber device. The oscillating weight is made from carbon and platinum-iridium and it's mounted on ceramic ball bearings that don't require lubricating oil. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
