This is an 18k white gold Patek Philippe Calatrava 3998G. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k white gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a pull out winding crown, and a solid screw-down case back. The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, and rounded bezel are polished. The dial is matte silver with applied faceted white gold "boat-shape" baton hour markers, around a perimeter dot minute second scale. It has white gold dauphine hands, and a center sweep second hand. There is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, and it has a 48-hour power reserve at full wind. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 7.2mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Calatrava 3998G has a mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 315 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's stamped with the Quality Seal of Geneva. It's constructed with 30 jewels, 224 components, 6 bridges, and a shock absorber device. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a Gyromax balance, a self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, and a 21K gold rotor. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (2.5 Hz) The Patek Philippe Calatrava 3998G debuted in 1989, and it was produced until 2005.
