More about Datejust Black Dial Index Markers Oyster SS / Rose Gold

This is a 904L stainless steel/18K rose gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 116201. It has an integral stainless steel and 18k rose Gold "Rolsor" Oyster bracelet, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a flat smooth bezel and screwed-down Twinlock double waterproof crown that are 18K rose gold. There is a screw-down solid case back, and the three-body solid 36mm diameter case, curved lugs, flat bezel, and bracelet are polished and brushed. The dial is black with applied rose gold baton hour markers with luminous inserts, and an outer white railway-style minute/second track with Roman numeral hour markers. It includes luminous rose gold baton hands and a central sweep seconds hand. It has a Cyclops magnifying lens over the date aperture at 3 o'clock, and a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3135 movement is rhodium-plated with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It has bidirectional self-winding by the perpetual rotor. It has a monobloc middle case, and it's constructed with 31 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, and a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring. It has Microstella regulating screws, a hacking stop-seconds mechanism for precision rapid time setting, and the oscillator has a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 116201 was introduced in 2005. Rolex debuted their bi-metal "Rolesor" watches in 1933, and their first two-metal offerings were produced in the 1920's.
