25757 Omega Speedmaster CK2998-62, 2998, 2998 62, Speedmaster pre-moon pre-professional, pre - space, second generation Speedmaster with straight lugs, stainless steel on a strap with a period correct 1960s omega buckle, the case is in excellent condition and still retains its shape, manual wind Omega caliber 321, chronograph, original black dial has nicely faded over time, light, creamy and clean lume, correct and nicely faded "Dot Over 90" bezel, dust cover, flat foot crown, 19M movement serial number (1962), diameter: 39mm, thickness: 14mm, Excellent Condition with European Watch Company box and 6 Month Warranty. This is a vintage c. 1962 stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Pre-Moon Pre-Professional, Second Generation, 2998-62. The solid screw-down case back includes a dust cover and the engraved Speedmaster logo. The 39mm diameter solid thee-body case, round chronograph pushbuttons, straight lugs, and winding crown are polished/brushed. It has the original black dial, applied luminous baton hour markers, a black "Dot over 90" bezel with white tachymeter graduations, luminous steel alpha hands, and a luminous central white baton chronograph hand. It includes an outer track with minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions, and the Omega logo at 12 o'clock. There is a constant small seconds subsidiary dial at the 9 o'clock position, a 30-minute sub dial at 3 o'clock, and a 12-hour dial at 6 o'clock. The 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The mechanical manual winding Omega caliber 321 movement is, copper-colored, with a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an index regulator. This is the second generation Speedmaster, after the original broad arrow Speedmater from 1957, the 2915.
