This is a platinuim Audemars Piguet Grande Sonnerie 25750.002. It has an alligator leather strap with an AP platinum tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a push button at 10 o'clock on the left case band for repeating the alarm. The 3-position sliding lever at 2 o'clock on the right case band has three settings: GS "Grande Sonnerie" strikes on the hour and quarter hour, PS "Petite Sonnerie" will only chime at the hours during use, and the S "Silence" blocks all striking functions. It has a screw down winding crown and a solid case back secured with 5 screws and engraved "GRANDE SONNIERIE," and 3 hallmarks. The 39mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and flat angled bezel are polished. There is a white dial with applied faceted white gold baton hour indices, Arabic numerals at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock, and around the perimeter is a black minute scale. It has white gold baton hands, and there is a recessed white subsidiary running small seconds dial at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant and the 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Audemars Piguet Grande Sonnerie 25750.002 has a mechanical manual bidirectional winding AP caliber 2868 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 51 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight- line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The Audemars Piguet Grande Sonnerie 25750.002 was produced in the late 1990s in a limited edition of 50 examples.
