This is a titanium Panerai Radiomir 8 Day, PAM00346. It has an alligator leather Strap with a titanium tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. There is a screwed-down exhibition sapphire display back secured by 4 screws, with the 8-day power reserve indicator on the back. The 45mm diameter solid cushion-shaped case, wire lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The black dial has luminous Arabic numeral hour markers at the half-hours, and luminous baton hour indexes and hands. There is a circular magnified date aperture at the 3 o'clock position, and a constant seconds subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock, with a seconds reset function. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, The mechanical manual winding Panerai caliber P. 2002/9 Movement is rhodium plated, with three barrels and a KIF Parechoc shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 23 jewels, 245 components, a straight-line lever escapement, a Glucydur® monometallic balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism with zero reset function. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). Panerai uses a titanium alloy that has the same strength as steel but it's 40% lighter. It's impervious to corrosion by salt water and it has outstanding resistance to a large spectrum of acids, alkalis, and industrial chemicals. The watch was introduced in an edition of 500 examples at the 2010 SIHH exhibition.
