More about Seamaster 300 165.014 Circa 1964 EXCELLENT
This is a vintage 1964 stainless steel Omega Seamaster 300 165.014. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel Omega tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal with the Omega symbol still visible. It has a screw down flat foot winding crown, and a solid screw down case back, engraved with "CERTIFIED HIGH PRESSURE-WATERPROOF-SEAMASTER," and with the original Seasmaster logo and Omega letter. The 38mm diameter solid three-body case, faceted straight lugs, and original stepped flat unidirectional revolving knurled-edge bezel, are polished/brushed. The black bakelight bezel was restored at Omega, and has white Arabic numeral decompression markers every 10 minutes. The original black dial has the gilt OMEGA SEAMASTER 300 text, steel dagger hands with a luminous arrow tip on the minute hand, and a white center sweep second hand. It has luminous baton hour indices with luminous Arabic numeral hour markers at the quarter hours. There is a perimeter minute/second scale, and the 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Omega Seamaster 300 165.014 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Omega caliber 552 movment. It's copper-colored, and it's constructed with 24 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. There is a monometallic balance, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The Omega Seamaster 300 165.014 was introduced in 1964, the last model with straight lugs.
