This is a vintage c. 1960's 18k yellow gold Vacheron Constantin 6131. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k yellow gold tang buckle, and a domed acrylic crystal. It has a pull out winding crown, and a solid snap down case back, inside of which is stamped "VACHERON CONSTANTIN-SWISS," a serial number, and three hallmarks. The 37mm diameter solid three-body case, straight angled lugs, and thin angled bezel, are polished. The domed dial is silver with applied faceted gold baton hour markers, pointed gold baton hands, and a needle center sweep second hand. The 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Vacheron Constantin 6131 has a mechanical manual winding Vacheron Constantin caliber P 454 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses côtes embellishment, and it's stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a beryllium balance that's adjusted to temperatures, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and a swan neck micrometer regulator.
