It has a push/pull winding crown, and a distinctive wedge-shaped slide lever on the left side of the case band that activates the minute repeating gong. The 43mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and concave angled bezel are polished. The dial is silver with applied rose gold Arabic numeral and gold square hour markers, around a perimeter railway-style minute scale. There is a running seconds subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock, and a 43-hour power reserve at full wind. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 12.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This IWC Portuguese Minute Repeater IW524202 has a mechanical manual winding IWC caliber 95290 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 54 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating Breguet balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). The IWC Portuguese Minute Repeater IW524202 was introduced in a limited edition of 250 examples in 2006, and it was produced until 2009.
