It includes the patented fully protected lever activated screw down winding crown for adjusting even underwater, and it has a solid screw down case back engraved with "OFFICINE PANERAI – STAINLESS STEEL – 300 M – FIRENZE – 1860 - AUTOMATIQUE," and a reference number. and the 40mm square cushion-shaped two-body solid case, screwed downturned lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is white with black Arabic numeral hour makers (oversized at the half-hours) and pointed polished steel hour and minute hands with luminous inserts around a black perimeter minute scale with luminous hour pips. There is a white small constant running seconds subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock with black markers and a black "propeller" style indicator hand with a luminous insert. A magnified date aperture window is at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet, it has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Panerai Luminor Marina PAM00049 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Panerail caliber OPIII movement. It's rhodium plated, with oeil-de-perdrix, distinctive Panerai decoration, and Côtes de Genève embellishment on the bridges. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, an Incabloc® shock absorber device, and a Glucydur monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions. It has a self-compensating flat balance spring and a micrometer regulator. It includes a personalized oscillating weight; the mechanism vibrates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
