This is a vintage c. 1950's 14k yellow gold Jaeger LeCoultre Small Seconds. It has an alligator leather strap with a 14k yellow gold tang buckle, and a domed acrylic crystal. It has a pull out gold winding crown, and a solid, snap on rectangular case back with thump flips. The36.6mm diameter solid two-body case, hidden lugs, and wide flat angled bezel, are polished/brushed. It has an aged cream-white dial with applied 14k gold baton hour markers, gold dauphine hands, and there is a "crosshairs" running small seconds subsidiary dial with a gold indicator hand at 6 o'clock. The case is sharp, with clear hallmarks. The 7.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Jaeger LeCoultre Small Seconds has a mechanical manual winding Caliber 480 CW movement. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes and cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, an anti-shock device, a straight-line lever escapement, and an index regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz).
