More about Submariner 1680 SS FANTASTIC

This is a stainless steel 1979 Rolex Submariner, 1680. It has an integral stainless steel Oyster bracelet (93150), and a scratch resistant acrylic crystal with a Cyclops magnification bubble over the date aperture at 3 o'clock. It has a screw-down solid case back and Triplock winding crown that's protected by the crown guard. The uni-directional graduated rotating bezel measures decompression time to 60 minutes, with a Tritium dot at the 60-minute position. The dial is black with Tritium Rolex baton hands and a centered sweep second hand. It has applied Tritium dot, baton, and triangular hour index markers, and an outer minute/second track. It's water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3035 movement is rhodium-plated, and it's constructed with 27 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a shock absorber mechanism, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking seconds mechanism.
