More about Speedmaster Broad Arrow SS / SS
This is a stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Chronograph Broad Arrow 3594.50.00. It has a stainless steel Omega link bracelet with a folding deployment clasp, and an acrylic Hesalite crystal. It has a screw down winding crown with a crown guard, round chronograph push buttons, and a solid screw down case back engraved "SPEEDMASTER," with the horse logo in the center medallion. The 42mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, bracelet, and fixed flat bezel with a black tachymeter scale to 1000 UPH, are polished/brushed. The "pre-professional" dial is black with painted luminous baton hour indices, around a luminous white minute/one-fifth second scale. It has steel broad arrow hands with luminous inserts, a center sweep chronograph second hand, and there are three "pie tin" black subsidiary dials with white markers and Arabic numerals, and steel indicator hands, including a running small seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute totalizer at the 3 o'clock position. It has a 48-Hour power reserve at full winding, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Omega Speedmaster Chronograph Broad Arrow 3594.50.00 has a mechanical manual winding Omega caliber 1861 (base Lemania 1873) movement. It's rhodium plated, with fausses côtes embellishment. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (2.5Hz). The Omega Speedmaster Chronograph Broad Arrow 3594.50.00 was introduced in 1998 and produced until 2003. The "broad arrow" hands on this reissue retain the look of the original Omega CK 2915 of 1957.
