More about Altiplano Automatic 40mm 18k White Gold

This is an 18k white gold Piaget Altiplano Date G0A38130. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k white gold tang buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a screw down winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, and engraved with "PIAGET – AUTOMATIC – 1205P – SWISS MADE – AU750," hallmarks, and serial numbers. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, straight/notched lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished. The dial is silver with three tiers, including black painted stick hour indices around the perimeter reserve. It includes black stick hands, and the date aperture window is at the 9 o'clock position. A further recessed silver subsidiary dial for the running small seconds is at 4 o'clock. It has a 44-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 6.4mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Piaget Altiplano Date G0A38130 has a mechanical automatic Piaget caliber 1205P micro rotor movement. It's rhodium plated with a circular-grained main plate, beveled bridges, and a sunburst motif on the wheels. It has an off-center rose gold oscillating weight that's engraved with the Piaget coat of arms. It's constructed with blued screws, 27 jewels, 221 components, a balance stop, and an anti-shock device. The special index assembly is signed with a letter "P" for Piaget, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Piaget Altiplano Date G0A38130 was introduced in 2013, the first Altiplano to include a date, as well as the thinnest automatic mechanical movement on the market at just 2.35 mm thick. It is also currently the thinnest watch in its category, measuring in at 5.25 mm.
