This is an 18K yellow gold Breguet Marine Automatic Big Date, 5817BA/12/9V8. It has a rubber strap with an 18K yellow gold deployant buckle, a protected screwed down crown, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 39mm diameter solid three-body case, stepped rounded bezel, coin-edged band, lapidated downturned lugs, and screwed bars are polished. The transparent display sapphire case back is secured with 6 screws, and there is a double window big date aperture at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is two-tone hand engraved (engine-turned) guilloche silver over gold, applied blued steel Roman numerals hour markers on a brushed plain reserve, and luminous hour index dots. It has blued gold Breguet hands with luminous tips, a central sweep seconds hand, and dot outer minute divisions. There is 65-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 100 meters. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Breguet caliber 517gg movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 35 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, an index regulator, and a gold rotor decorated with an engine-turned sunray pattern.
