31913 Rolex 16660 Sea Dweller, this is the first reference to be water resistant to 1220 meters, stainless steel on a stainless steel oyster bracelet (93160 and 592 endlinks), automatic Rolex caliber 3035 movement, original black dial is co-branded by Tiffany and Co (The watch dates correctly to the period when Tiffany still ordered its watches marked from Rolex, a practice that ended later in the decade. Most Tiffany Sea Dwellers were reference 1665), original tritium lume on the dial and hands have aged nicely and developed a slightly creamy patina, date at 3 o'clock, centered sweep seconds hand, COSC, water resistant to 1220 meters (4000 ft.), diameter: 40 mm, thickness: 14.1 mm, 8.2M serial (c. 1984), Excellent example of a historically significant and rare watch. This is a c. 1984 stainless steel Rolex Sea Dweller 16660. It has an integral stainless steel Rolex 93160 3-link bracelet with 592 endlinks, a folding deployment clasp, and a plexiglass crystal. It has a signed screw down Twinlock winding crown with squared crown guards, and there is a screw down solid case back engraved with "ROLEX – OYSTER – ORIGINAL GAS ESCAPE VALVE, and hallmarks. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, knurled unidirectional rotating bezel, downturned hooded lugs, and bracelet are polished/brushed. The flat black bezel has silver Arabic numeral dive graduations every 10-minutes to the luminous pip and triangle at the 60. It has a corrector at 9 o'clock on the left-side case band for the date. The dial is black with the original Tritium lume, and it's co-branded with "TIFFANY & CO." (Most 16600 Tiffany "Triple Sixes" were reference 1665). It has applied circle, baton and triangular hour indices with a creamy patina around a perimeter luminous white minute/seconds scale. It has "Mercedes" type Rolex hands, a center sweep seconds hand with a luminous lollipop indicator, and there is a steel-framed date aperture window without magnification at the 3 o'clock position. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, it's water resistant to 1220 meters/4000 feet, it has a 50-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 14.1mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex Sea Dweller 16660 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3035 movement. It's rhodium plated and it's constructed with 27 jewels, an anti-shock device, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance. It has a hacking seconds device for precision time setting, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

This Rolex Sea Dweller 16660 was introduced in 1980, and it was produced until 1984. This is the first reference to be water resistant to 1220 meters. The original Sea Dweller was introduced in 1967.
