More about Blancpain 2850B-1130A-71 Aqualung Big Date Black Dial VLADAMIR PUTIN Limited SS

This is a stainless steel Blancpain Leman Big Date, 2850B-1130A-71. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet. The solid 40mm diameter case, downturned lugs, and stepped bezel are polished with a screwed-down display case back and crown. The crystal and case back are scratch resistant sapphire with anti-reflective coating on inner and outer surfaces. The dial is black with applied steel Arabic numeral and baton hour index markers, luminous dot minute/seconds markers, and skeletonized steel epee hands. It includes a centered sweep second hand, and the big date appears in twin window apertures at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), and it has a 70-hour power reserve at full wind. The 11.5 mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The self-winding automatic Blancpain caliber 6950 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 35 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions. It has a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a double barrel.

Leman is the name for Lake Geneva in French. Blancpain named this collection of models to commemorate elegance and action.
