This is a stainless steel Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer Torpilleur 1183-310/43. It has a composite rubber strap with a stainless steel double folding deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a signed screw down security winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, and it's engraved around the perimeter with "ULYSSE NARDIN – 50 METERS," a serial number and hallmarks. The left side case band has a screwed UN edition-number plate. The 42mm solid two-body case, gently curved lugs, and thin coin-edged bezel, are polished/satin. It has a dark blue dial with white luminous Roman numeral hour markers, around a perimeter white minute scale. It includes steel spade and feuille hands, and there are two recessed blue subsidiary dials with luminous white markers, Arabic numerals, and steel indicator hands, including an up/down 60-hour power reserve at 12 o'clock, and there is a larger recessed light blue running constant small seconds register at 6 o'clock, with a circular date aperture also at 6 o'clock. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, it has a 60-hour power reserve at full winding, and it's water resistant to 50 meters/150 feet. The 11.4mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer Torpilleur 1183-310/43 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Ulysse Nardin in-house manufactured Caliber UN-118 movement. It has perlage on the bottom plate, and it's rhodium plated with concentric cotes de Geneve embellishment on the bridges. It's constructed with 50 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber device, a silicon balance with variable inertia, and an anchor escapement produced with DIAMonSIL (silicon treated with a diamond coating eliminating the need for lubrication. It includes a silicon hairspring, and an oscillator with 4 correction screws. The rotor has twin anchors and a DIAMonSIL medallion. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer Torpilleur 1183-310/43 was introduced in 2017. Torpilleur means "torpedo boat" in French.
