This is a 1980 18K yellow gold Rolex Daytona Cosmograph 6265. It has an integral 18K yellow gold Oyster link full-length rivet bracelet with 71 end links, a folding deployment clasp, and an acrylic crystal. It has screw locked round chronograph push buttons, a Twinlock screw down signed winding crown, and there is a solid screw down case back, inside of which is stamped "MONTRES ROLEX S.A. – GENEVA – SWITZERLAND – PATENTED – 6265," and hallmarks. The 37mm diameter solid three-body case, gently curved lugs, bracelet, and flat angled bezel, are brushed/polished with a warm aged patina. The original champagne sunray dial has applied faceted gold baton hour markers with luminous pips, around a perimeter black minute/chronograph second scale. It includes gold baton hands with luminous fill, a center sweep gold needle chronograph seconds hand, and there is a black engraved tachymeter scale to 200 UPH around the bezel. It has three recessed black subsidiary dials with gold Arabic numerals, markers, and indicator hands, including a running small constant seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at the 3 o'clock position. It has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, The 13.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex Daytona Cosmograph 6265 has a mechanical manual winding movement Rolex caliber 727 (base Valjoux caliber 72) column wheel chronograph movement. It's rhodium plated, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, an Incabloc anti-shock device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a Rolex Microstella adjustable-inertia balance wheel, a Breguet overcoil hairspring, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 3 positions, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz).

The Rolex Daytona Cosmograph 6265 was introduced in 1971, and it was produced until 1988.
