More about Gondolo 5014G Silver Dial Manual Wind Black Roman Numerals
This is an 18K white gold Patek Philippe Gondolo 5014G-001. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k white gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a signed pull out winding crown, and a solid brushed case back secured with 4 screws. The 27mm by 35mm (including the lugs) solid two-body rectangular arched tonneau case, straight fluted integral lugs, and stepped curved convex bezel, are polished. It has a silver dial with black elongated Roman numeral hour markers surrounding a black railway-style ovoid minute scale. It has thin blued baton hands, and there is a silver round subsidiary dial for the running constant small seconds at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 25 meters/80 feet, it has a 44-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Gondolo 5014G-001 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 215 movement that's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment and the Patek Philippe seal. It's built with 18 jewels, 130 components, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a Spiromax self-compensating flat balance spring, and the patented Patek Philippe Gyromac balance that adjusts for cold, heat, isochronism, and 5 positions. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Patek Philippe Gondolo 5014G-001 was introduced in the 2000's. Patek Philippe launched the distinctive, art deco-inspired Gondolo line in 1993. The collection is a contemporary re-examination of the stepped, stylistic lines of the 1920’s art deco movement that so influenced industrial design. The line is named for the “Chronometro Gondolo” pocket watches created by Patek for the Brazilian Gondolo & Labouriau jewelers in Rio de Janeiro in 1902.
