This is a 1952 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe "Hour Glass" 1593. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k yellow gold tang buckle, and an apex glass "bombe" crystal. There is a pull out signed winding crown and a snap down solid case back with a thumb flip. The 22mm by 41.5mm (including the lugs) solid two-body curved case, straight flared lugs, and arched flared convex bezel, are polished/brushed. It includes the original silver dial with applied gold Arabic numeral hour markers at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock, and applied gold faceted dart hour indices, with a gold pip at the 6 o'clock position. It has gold dauphine sword hands, and there is a silver subsidiary dial for the constant running seconds at 6 o'clock with black markers and a gold sword indicator hand. It's water resistant to 25 meters/80 feet, it has a 38-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe "Hour Glass" 1593 has a mechanical manual winding Patek caliber 9-90 movment. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and it has the quality hallmark of the seal of Geneva. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber system, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a cut Gyromax compensation balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions a micrometer regulator, and a blued steel Breguet balance spring. The Patek Philippe "Hour Glass" 1593 was introduced c. 1944.
