This is a platinum Rolex Day-Date II. It has an integral platinum Presidential bracelet with semi-circular three-piece links, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw-down winding crown with the Twinlock system, and a solid polished screw-down case back. The 41mm diameter solid three-body case, gently angled lugs, bracelet, and smooth bezel are polished/brushed. There is a matte black dial with applied gloss black arabic numeral hour markers, white gold baton hands and a white gold center sweep second hand. It has an arched aperture window for the instantaneous day at 12 o'clock, and a rapid-set date aperture window is at 3 o'clock underneath a Cyclops magnification bubble in the crystal. Around the perimeter is a white railway-style minute/second scale. It has a 70-hour power reserve at full winding, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. There is a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Day-Date II 218206 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3156 movement. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 31 jewels, a "Chronergy" amagnetic lever escapement that optimizes energy efficiency. It has bidirectional self-winding through the perpetual rotor, a Parachrom blue balance spring with an overcoil, and an amagnetic oscillator system. The Chronergy escape wheel is skeletonized to reduce any energy loss due to inertia. It has a free-sprung adjustable mass balance, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,000 vph (4 Hz).
