This is a frosted yellow gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak "Carolina Bucci" limited edition 15454BA.GG.1259BA.02. It has a frosted yellow gold link bracelet with a double deployment clasp, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coatings. It has a screw down hexagonal winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 8 screws, and engraved "ROYAL OAK, LIMITED EDITION, CAROLINA BUCCI" ,and a serial number. The solid 37mm diameter three-body case, angled screwed lugs, and flat octagonal bezel with 8 hexagonal white gold through-case face screws, are polished and brushed. The dial is a silver-toned mirror with applied Royal Oak yellow gold baton hour markers with luminous inserts, luminous yellow gold baton hands, a center sweep seconds hand, and an outer track with black second and minute divisions. The date aperture is at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 50 meters, and there is a 60-hour power reserve at full wind. The 9.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. It has a suspended barrel, and the oscillating weight has an annular ring that runs on four ceramic ball bearings. It has a monometallic Gyromax balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions. There is a self-compensating flat balance-spring, an engraved 22k yellow gold rotor with a coat of arms, a variable inertia block balance, and a central hacking seconds device for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Carolina Bucci limited edition was introduced in 2018, two years after the debut of the use of frosted gold in the Royal Oak collection. It is limited to 300 pieces and was made in collaboration with famed jeweler Carolina Bucci. According to the artist "When I was considering this new watch, I wanted to create a dynamic contrast of surfaces and settled on the idea of taking the tapisserie dial in the opposite direction towards pure reflection," says Carolina Bucci. "I was drawn to the idea of the appearance of no surface at all, like when you see a calm lake framed by nothing but trees and the sky ... the water almost disappears".
