This is a stainless steel Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 67650st.oo.1261st.01. It has an integral stainless-steel link bracelet with a stainless-steel deployment buckle. The solid 33mm by 43mm diameter three-body strongbox case is polished and brushed, with an octagonal bezel screwed down by 8 hexagonal nuts; the case back is also secured by 8 screws and it's engraved "ROYAL OAK." It has downturned hooded lugs, a screwed-down stainless bi-directional signed hexagonal winding crown, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The dial is black with a grand tapisserie "waffle" texture, luminous applied rounded steel baton hour index markers, and steel Royal Oak baton hands with luminous inserts. There is an aperture window for the date at the 3 o'clock position and it's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet. The 7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak at the Basel Fair in 1972. It had a radically new shape and was designed by master horologist Gérald Genta. It was named after the legendary oak tree in which Charles II of England hid from his enemies, the Roundheads.
