This is an 18k yellow gold Cartier Tank Obus 2380E. It includes an alligator leather strap with an 18K yellow gold deployment buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It includes a pull-out beaded winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon and an exhibition sapphire display crystal case back secured with 8 screws and engraved with "CARTIER," and a serial number. The solid 26.5mm square two-body case, bullet-shaped lugs, and square convex bezel, are polished. The silver sunray guilloche dial has painted black radial Roman numeral hour markers with the "secret" Cartier signature in the VII, and blued steel Cartier "observatoire" hour and minute hands. It's water resistant to 30 meters, and the 7.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Cartier Tank Obus 2380E has a mechanical manual winding Cartier caliber 437 MC movement (based on a Piaget caliber). It's rhodium-plated and engraved with the 'CC' logo. It's constructed with 19 jewels, a lever escapement, and a monometallic balance. It has a shock-absorber mechanism, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The Cartier Tank Obus 2380E was introduced in the 2000's.
