This is a 1988 18k yellow gold Cartier Tonneau Cintree 2435. It includes an ostrich leather strap with the original 18k yellow gold tang buckle and a curved scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a bead-edged pyramidal Cartier winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon and there is a snap-down solid case back engraved with "CARTIER – PARIS," hallmarks and a serial number. The 39mm x 21mm (including lugs) solid two-body tonneau ovoid case with two screws on each case band, screwed gold bar lugs, and curved convex art deco-style bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is silver sunray concentric guilloche with radial black Roman numeral hour markers around an inner black minute scale. It includes blued Cartier sword hands. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, This Cartier Tonneau Cintree 2435 has a mechanical manual winding Cartier caliber 78/1 (a signed ETA 2512) movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment and it's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber system, and a monometallic balance. It includes an index regulator and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The Cartier Tonneau Cintree 2435 was introduced in the 1980's.
