This is a titanium F.P. Journe Gents Quartz Elegante 40MM. It includes a titanium case on a rubber strap with a titanium deployment buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a screw-down winding crown with a “Cordes de Marseilles” grip, a luminous white inner dial with black Arabic numbers surrounded by a perimeter railway-style minute/hour scale. The 40mm by 35mm curved, tonneau-shaped two-body case, curved lugs, and flat barrel-shaped bezel, are satin/polished. The alpha-shaped hour and minute hands are blued and there is a circular small constant running seconds dial at 6 o’clock with a blued observatoire indicator hand. It’s water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 7.35mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This F.P. Journe Gents Quartz Elegante 40MM has the innovative FP Journe quartz caliber 1210 electromechanical movement with a two-rotor engine. It’s engraved with a decorated battery bridge and Cotes de Geneve embellishment. The screw heads are polished and beveled, it has 18 jewels, and it oscillates at a frequency of 32,768 Hz. After remaining motionless for 35 minutes, the motion detector of the inertia weight (visible on the dial at 4 o’clock) restarts and automatically resets the time. The F.P. Journe Gents Quartz Elegante 40MM was released c. 2021.
