This is a platinum FP Journe Octa Automatique Reserve. It has a leather strap with a platinum tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a screwed-down sapphire crystal display case back. The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, rounded bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial is white gold and the Arabic numeral hour markers are embossed from the back and then bright polished. It has matching white gold Journe hands, and an outer minute track on a plain concentric reserve. It has a running small seconds sub dial between 4 and 5 o'clock, a large date aperture between 11 and 12 o'clock, and a power reserve indicator wedge at 9. Turning the crown in opposite directions at position 2 sets the date, and the time is set with the crown in position 3. It has a 120-hour/5-day power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100feet. It includes a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) certificate, and the 10.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This FP Journe Octa Automatique Reserve has an automatic self-winding FP Journe caliber 1300.3 that's brass and rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's decorated with circular stripes on the bridges, a partly circular grained baseplate, gilt engravings, and polished screw heads with chamfered slots. It includes pegs with polish rounded ends, and the steelwork has polished chamfers and straight graining. It's constructed with 37 jewels, 293 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has uni-directional automatic winding, an in-line lever escapement with a 15-tooth wheel, and a balance with 4 inertia weights adjusted to 5 positions. There is a flat Anachron microflamed spring, a mobile stud holder, a self-compensating free-sprung balance, a pinned GE stud, and a three-position crown slipping mainspring. It has an off-center bi-directional 22K gold guilloche rotor, with a winding speed of 274 clockwise revolutions every 24 hours without mainspring slipping. The rotor oscillates with a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The movement is engraved "Exclusive Power Reserve System" and "Precision Chronometer." In 2001, FP Journe debuted the first automatic movement caliber from the Octa collection that guaranteed five days of precision timekeeping when unworn.
