This is a platinum F.P Journe Octa UTC Black Label. It has an alligator leather strap with a platinum F.P. Journe tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has an exhibition screw-down sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, engraved with "F.P. Journe – Invinet et Fecit - Octa Auto – ", a serial number, and hallmarks. The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and rounded bezel are polished. The off-center guilloche silver time dial is secured to the gold plate with 3 screws. The dial is blackened gold with painted blue Arabic numeral hour markers, inside of which is a second 24-hour time zone with rose gold radial Arabic numerals. It's universal time coordinated. There are blued steel Journe hands, a rose gold 2nd time zone indicator, and there is a railway-style minute track. There is a small seconds subsidiary dial overlapping the time dial at its 6 o'clock position, and a double wheel large date indicator is between 11 and 12 o'clock. There is a retrograde 120-hour power reserve arch at 9 o'clock, and at 8 o'clock there is a laser engraved and painted sapphire disc world map divided into time zones with a winter/summer indicator. The +1 /-1 graduation positions a specific region for summer hours for the location of the user, depending if it is positioned east or west of the selected zone. It's water resistant to 20 meters/75 feet, and the 10.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Journe caliber 1300-3 movement is 18K rose gold, with fausses embellishment, and circular côtes de Genève texture on the bridges. It's constructed with 40 jewels, 342 components, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic 4-arm balance with 4 timing weights adjusted to 5 positions, a shock absorber device, and a self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring. There is an off-center bidirectional 22K gold guilloche rotor. circular graining on the 18K rose gold baseplate, and polished screw heads with chamfered slots. It has chamfered and circular grained wheels, and diamond-molded pegs with polished rounded ends. There is a winding speed of 274 anti-clock-wise rotations every 24 hours, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21’600 vph (3 Hz). The F.P. Journe Octa UTC Black Label was introduced in 2012 exclusively for F.P. Journe owners and strictly sold out of their boutiques.
