It has a signed screw down winding crown at 4 o'clock and a screw down solid case back engraved with the high relief Grand Seiko Lion medallion and "MADE IN JAPAN – DIVER'S – 600M – TITANIUM," and a serial number. The 46.9mm diameter solid two-body case, gently curved lugs, bracelet, and flat angled black ceramic knurled unidirectional bezel with silver elapsed Arabic numeral minute markers every ten-minutes, have Grand Seiko Zaratsu finishing. The dial is dark blue waffle Grand Tapisserie textured with applied luminous circular and rectangular hour markers with a dive triangle at 12 o'clock, surrounded by a white luminous perimeter minute/second scale. It has a brushed titanium luminous cathedral-style hour hand, a luminous broad arrow minute hand, and a center sweep second hand with a luminous circular counterbalance. There is a titanium-framed date aperture window at the 4 o'clock position. It has a 55-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water-resistant to 600 meters/2000 feet, and the 17mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Grand Seiko Sport Collection High Beat Diver SBGH257 has a mechanical automatic Grand Seiko Hi-Beat caliber 9S85 movement produced in the Shizukuishi watch studio in the Iwate Prefecture. It's made from Seiko's SPRON530 alloy with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 37 jewels, a shock absorber system, and an oxidized titanium and tungsten rotor. It includes a high precision MEMS escape wheel and pallet, a stop-seconds function for precision time setting, an anti-magnetic SPRON610 balance wheel (anti-magnetic to 4,800 A/m), and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 36,000 vph (5Hz). The Grand Seiko Sport Collection High Beat Diver SBGH257 was released in 2017 in a limited edition of 500 examples.
