This is a vintage IWC Manual Winding Caliber 89. It has an alligator leather strap with a tang buckle and an acrylic crystal. It includes a pull out winding crown, and a solid snap down case back. The 37mm diameter solid two-body case, sharp flared lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished. The hallmarks are still clearly visible, and the original dial is silver with 18K gold dauphine hands, applied gold baton hour indices, a center sweep gold second hand, gold pip hour markers, and there is a perimeter dot minute/seconds scale. The 9.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This IWC Ingenieur Manual Winding Caliber 89 has a mechanical manual winding caliber 89 movemen. It's rhodium plated, with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, a micrometer regulator, and a Breguet hairspring. It includes adjustment screws on the balance spokes, an Incabloc anti-shock device, and a hacking seconds device for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz).
