This is a stainless steel IWC Portofino Automatic, IW356501. The two-body case, slim rounded bezel, and angled lugs are polished with a matt case back with 4 screws. The alligator strap has a matching stainless steel tang buckle. The dial is silver with applied Roman numeral hour markers, steel baton hands – including a center sweep hacking seconds hand, and outer seconds markers. It has a sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides, the date aperture is at 3 o'clock, and it's water resistant to 30 meters. There is a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound. The case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic IWC calibre 3510 movement is gilt brass with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. The monometallic balance adjusts for heat, cold, and 5 positions. It includes a, micrometer regulator, a hack mechanism, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The elegant Portofino line was named after the center of the Italian international jet set, and the cases are round and thin. This model of the Portofino automatic was introduced in 2011, featuring a contemporary 40-millimetre case with evenly rounded sides, and an even slimmer profile.
