This is a ceramic (Zirconium Oxide) and titanium IWC Top Gun Split Second, IW379901. It has a fabric/leather-lined strap with a stainless steel buckle, and a domed scratch resistant double anti-reflective coated, pressure-drop resistant crystal. It includes a screwed down titanium case back with the TOP GUN UNITED STATES NAVY FIGHTER WEAPONS SCHOOL insignia, Pilot's Watch, and 'INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO. The case edge also has an engraved Top Gun. The rattrapante chronograph has a "split seconds" complication that's operated by the button at the 10 o'clock position; it not only allows a stop accurate to the second, it also allows the measurement of any intermediate time. The dial is matte black with luminous alpha hands, a center chronograph hand, luminous Arabic numeral hour markers, baton and triangular indexes, and an outer minute track. There's a twelve-hour register at the six o'clock position, and day and elongated date windows are located at 3 o'clock. A small seconds sub dial is at 9 o'clock with a bright red counterweight that resembles the silhouette of a jet, and there is a 30-minute register at 12. The 46mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and stepped bezel are brushed. It's water resistant to 60 meters / 180 feet, and there is a 44-hour power reserve at full wind. The 18mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 79230 movement is rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 29 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, a, a self-compensating flat balance spring, an index regulator, and a hacking seconds mechanism. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800vph (4 Hz).
