More about Master Geographic Steel Silver Dial / Deployment

This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Master Geographic 142.8.92. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel folding deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both surfaces. It has a solid case back engraved with the Master logo. The 38mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and flat bezel are polished, with a second winding crown at the 10 o'clock position for selecting the city of a second world time zone. The dial is silver with applied steel dart index hour markers, black luminous steel dauphine hands with luminous inserts, a central sweep second hand, and an outer ring with minute/second divisions. There is a subsidiary dial for the days of the month at the 2 o'clock position, an aperture arc with a bidirectional rotating disk with the names of world capitals at 6 o'clock, and an up-down power reserve sector at 9 o'clock. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and it has a 40-hour power reserve at full wind. The 11mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Jaeger LeCoultre Master Geographic 142.8.92 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 929 movement. It’s rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 38 jewels and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance adjusted to 6 positions. It has a self-compensating flat balance spring, a micrometer regulator, a 22K gold rotor segment, and a hacking seconds device. The movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Jaeger LeCoultre Master Geographic 142.8.92 was introduced in the 1990’s. This watch and all Jaeger LeCoultre timepieces are submitted to 1000-hour series of tests that are their benchmark examinations.
