This is a titanium Kari Voutilainen Vingt-8 28sc Ti. It includes a titanium case on an alligator strap with a matching titanium tang buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a signed pull-out winding crown and an exhibition sapphire crystal display case back secured with 6 screws and engraved with “VOUTILAINEN – LIMITED EDITION,” and a serial number. This is the first watch from the company with a central sweep seconds hand instead of a small second subsidiary dial. The 39mm diameter round two-body case, angled corne-de-vache-style convex lugs, and concave bezel, are all polished. The dial has a grey sunray spiral guilloche circular center, white luminous pointed observatoire hour and minute hands with blue accents, and the novel center sweep second hand with a blue circular counterbalance, all completely made in-house. It includes slightly trapezoidal luminous “boat-shape” hour markers on a recessed blue hand-turned hobnail guilloche chapter ring, and there is a grey perimeter luminous pip chapter ring. It also has an additional red dial with four face screws. It has a 65-hour power reserve at full winding, it’s water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 13.5mm case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Kari Voutilainen Vingt-8 28sc Ti has a mechanical automatic self-winding Voutilainen caliber 28 double wheel direct impulse escapement movement made originally by Breguet. It's hand finished ruthenium and gold and it's constructed with 21 jewels, a shock absorber device, a Breguet overcoil, and a free-sprung self-compensating balance. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). The Kari Voutilainen Vingt-8 28sc Ti was introduced in 2020 in a limited edition of only 10 examples in titanium and 10 more in stainless-steel.
