This is an 18K rose gold Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 3970ER-12. It includes a leather strap with an18K rose gold deployment clasp, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a signed screw down winding crown, a corrector at 10 o'clock on the left-side case band, "push-rod" style chronograph push buttons, and there is a screwed-down sapphire crystal display back with hallmarks underneath the lugs, a setting pin and an additional solid case back. The 36mm diameter solid round three-body case, curved fluted lugs, and angled bezel are polished. It has a satiné silver dial with applied rose gold faceted "boat-shaped" baton hour indexes and pointed gold baton hour and minute hands. It includes three tri-compax-configured recessed silver subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals, markers, and gold feuille leaf indicator hands including a small constant running seconds register with an inner 24-hour GMT scale at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 3 o'clock with an inner leap year scale, and the moon phase and radial date is at the 6 o'clock position. The day of the week and the month are indicated in twin window apertures at 12 o'clock. It's water resistant to 25 meters/80 feet, it has a 60-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 12.9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 3970ER-12 has a mechanical manual winding caliber CH 27-70 Q (based on the Lemania caliber 2310) chronograph movement that's rhodium-plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment and the stamp of the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It's constructed with 24 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and the patented Patek Philippe Gyromax balance that compensates for cold, heat, isochronism, and 8 positions.The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). The Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph 3970ER-12 was introduced in 1986 and it was produced until 2004.
