More about Perpetual Calendar 18K Yellow Gold FULL SET WORN TWICE

This is an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5039J-001. It has a leather strap with an 18K yellow gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 36mm diameter solid two-body case and downturned lugs are polished/brushed. It has a sapphire crystal display snap-on case back. The dial is silver with applied yellow gold baton hour markers, dauphine hands, and an outer track with gold dot minute divisions. There is a subsidiary dial for the days of the month in the aperture for the moon phase at 6 o'clock, and a sub dial for the days of the week and a 24-hour index at 9 o'clock. The dial with the months and the leap year is at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 25 meters/80 feet, and the 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Jumbo Nautilus 5711G has a mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 240 Q movement. It's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It's constructed with 27 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and the patented Patek Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions. It has a shock absorber mechanism, a self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, and a 22K gold micro-rotor mounted on ball bearings. The elegant hobnail design on the bezel is reminiscent of the first Calatrava models, which debuted in 1932 after the Stern brothers purchased the company. In 1941, Patek started regular manufacture of the perpetual calendar wristwatches.
