More about Patek Philippe 5205R-001 TIFFANY Annual Calendar Silver Dial 18K Rose Gold "TIFFANY & CO"

This is an 18K rose gold Patek Philippe Tiffany & Co. Annual Calendar 5205R-001. The dial is white opaline with applied rose gold stick-baton hour markers, gold dauphine hands (including a center sweep seconds hand), and engraved dot minutes/seconds on an outer track. The two-body case and rounded bezel are polished, and the moon phase and 24-hour sub-dial is at 6 o'clock. The annual calendar has three apertures, including one for the day at 10 o'clock, a window for the month at 2 o'clock, and the date at 12. It's water resistant to 30 meters, with a 48-hour power reserve and a sapphire crystal display back. The alligator leather strap has correctors and a matching 18K rose gold tang buckle. The case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The automatic calibre 324 S QA LU 24H/206 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and the stamp of the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It's constructed with 34 jewels and 364 parts, a straight-line lever escapement, a shock absorber mechanism, and a self-compensating free-sprung Spiromax flat balance spring. It has the patented Patek Philippe Gyromax balance that compensates for cold, heat, isochronism, and 5 positions.

Patek introduced moon phase displays in 1927, and in 1996 they received a patent for their Annual Calendar mechanism, necessitating the annual calendar watch only to be adjusted manually once every 365 days. This model is still in current production; this example was made in 2013.
