More about Datejust White Dial / Jubilee SS

This is a c. 1984 stainless steel and 18k white gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 16030. It has an integral stainless steel Rolex jubilee/link bracelet, and an acrylic crystal. There is a screw down winding crown, and a solid screw-down case back. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and engine turned fluted 18k white gold bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is white with applied faceted white gold baton hour markers, luminous dot indices, white gold hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep second hand. There is a perimeter minute/seconds scale, and a date aperture window underneath a Cyclops magnification lens is at the 3 o'clock position. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, and it's water resistant. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 16030 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3035 movement. It's rhodium plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and it's constructed with 27 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, a free-sprung self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
