This is a 1985 18k yellow gold Rolex GMT Master Oyster Perpetual Date 16758. It includes an integral 18K yellow gold Jubilee bracelet with a double deployment clasp and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops magnification bubble over the date aperture window at 3 o'clock. It includes a screw-down signed winding crown with crown guards, the patented Rolex Triplock waterproofness system, and a solid screw down case back. The 40mm diameter solid monobloc case, 18K yellow gold knurled bi-directional rotating black 24-hour GMT bezel with gold Arabic numerals, integral lugs, and bracelet are polished/brushed. It has a black dial with raised luminous dot, baton, and triangular hour markers, luminous skeleton "Mercedes" style Rolex hands, and a center sweep hand with a luminous "lollipop" indicator. There is a central GMT gold hand with a luminous arrow tip for the GMT second 24-hour time zone and around the perimeter is a gold minute/second division track. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex GMT Master 16758 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1575 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with a KIF shock absorber system, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a free-sprung monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz). The Rolex GMT Master 16758 (the gold version of ref. 1675) was introduced c. 1970.
