More about Rolex 5512 Vintage Meters First Submariner BOX + PAPERS

This is a stainless steel vintage 1967 Rolex Submariner, 5512. It has an integral stainless steel rivet Oyster bracelet with a flip lock clasp, an acrylic crystal, and a winding-crown protected by a crown guard. It has a solid screw down case back, and a graduated bi-directional revolving black bezel with fat font dive/decompression times. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs, knurled bezel, and bracelet are polished/brushed. The meters first dial is matte black with tritium triangular, round, and baton hour index markers, and an outer seconds/minute track. It has a centered sweep second hand with a round uminous locater, and steel luminous baton hands. It's a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC). It's water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet, and the 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1530 movement is rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 26 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and to 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws.
