More about Patek Philippe 2403 Vintage Rectangle Bunny Lugs 18K Rose Gold

This is a vintage 1930's 18k rose gold Patek Philippe 2403. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k rose gold tang buckle, and a curved "bombe" acrylic crystal. There is a pull out winding crown with a Calatrava emblem, and a solid snap down case back, inside of which is stamped "PATEK PHILIPPE & CO-SWISS," and several hallmarks. The 21mm by 37mm (including lugs) tonneau art deco-style solid two-body case, drooping sculptural teardrop lugs, and thin rounded bezel, are polished/brushed. The original silver dial has applied faceted gold dart and Arabic numeral hour markers. It has gold baton hands, and there is a running small seconds subsidiary dial at 6 o'clock. The 9.7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Patek Philippe 2403 has a mechanical manual winding Patek caliber 9-90 movement. It's rhodium plated, with fausses côtes embellishment. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorver device, and a lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, and there is a micrometer regulator.
